Swallowtail1752 viewsI chased this butterfly around my backyard for 20 minutes. I don't remember how many shots I took. Finally got some good ones. Here he is posing on one of the Agapantus flowers. I like the grenn, purple and yellow. Taken with a Canon Digital Rebel with a 300mm Zoom Lens.

Survivor1922 viewsTaken 4/7/06
I believe this is a Yellow Canary. No fancy names. At any rate, he has survived the wrath of the Mongoose on Hawai'i. I really enjoyed all the different animals and birds that I saw on this trip. The warm weather wasn’t bad either.

Reticulation1973 viewsI couldn't get these Zebras to look at me so I had to settle for their butts. The pattern of black and white reminded me of a process in film developing called "Reticulation" where tiny cracks are formed in the films emulsion.

Lady Bugs1940 viewsThis photo, as well as the other Lady Bug photo was taken at the 8000 ft level of Mount Waterman in the San Gabriel Mountains. I was surprised to see so many in one place at one time. Looks like they're enjoying themselves.

Is That You Woody ?1851 viewsA rare sight in my neck of the woods, this Woodpecker was enjoying the warm Autumn Afternoon in the White Birch Tree in my front yard. Partly cloudy skies and a high of 70.9 degrees at my Weather Station in Altadena, CA made for a wonderful day.
