Hey Boo Boo. There's a picnic on Hollyslope Road865 viewsMeet Bear #513. According to the Department of Fish and Wildlife its a young female that tagged in Monrovia in May of 2017. They estimated her weight then at 200 pounds. She was pretty calm and wasn't bothered by me taking pictures of her. I used a telephoto lens of course.Oct 20, 2018

Another Day Another Bear 7-23-2018941 viewsThis Bear has been on the street several times the last few days. He was leisurely enjoying some fresh oranges off of our neighbors tree. Didn't seem to be bothered by us at all and likewise it didn't bother us.

He has Yellow Tag #51 in his ear. I'm trying to find out more about him from Fish and Wildlife.

The Bear Is Back2250 viewsThe Bear is back after a short hiatus. I had heard that Bears don’t hibernate in warm climates like Southern California but maybe this one actually did hibernate for a short time.

He was actually on the street 3 nights in a row this week. He got into trash cans on a couple of nights and left a large pile of Scat in the street. Leila was excited. She was picking up the Bear’s scent on our morning walk.

Two Times The Fun2287 viewsThis image clearly makes me think we have more than one bear visiting Holly Slope Rd. This ones color is more black and has what appears to be a White Chest Blaze. Maybe they are a couple?Nov 04, 2013

Our Regular Bear2306 viewsCritters are alive and well on Holly Slope. This Bear makes regular visits. Sometimes 2 or 3 times a week. Usually around Midnight. Leila and I ran into him one evening near the circle around 11pm on a late walk . Fortunately he wanted nothing to do with us and took off running across the dirt lot towards the ravine.Oct 26, 2013
