Wood Fairies2166 viewsTaken 11/12/06
Have you ever heard stories about the Wood Fairies? It has to do with Fairies escaping from the wood burned in campfires. I’m not sure where the story originated but apparently its true. Can you see them in the photo leaving the fire?

Comet Holmes2162 viewsComet Holmes 11-5-2007.

Comet Holmes has been known for more than a century. But a recent change has brought much attention. The comet’s brightness has increased dramatically.

This is a photo taken with a 75-300 Zoom Lens on my Canon Digital Rebel. Comet Holmes can be seen in the Constellation Perseus.

The bright star near the top of the frame is Mirfak, also called Alpha Persei. Comet Holmes is below and to the left. It appears as a fuzzy circle with a bright center.

There is some speculation that Comet Holmes may have been struck by a meteor, producing this large dust cloud which is being illuminated by the Sun.

At Last 12-04-20122159 viewsI set the CritterCam up in late November 2012. I checked the SD Memory Card each week to look for animals. It was a monotonous task going through each image one by one and deleting the ones I didn't want (which was most of them). Then one day I was scrolling through the images and came across this. I said out loud "holy S&#%".

The setting Sun and smoke from the "Day" Fire combined with the rugged San Gabriel Mountains created this interesting gradation of color and tone.

http://www.collingsfoundation.org/menu.htm and she was in pretty nice shape. I beleive this is a B-17G model. The Collings Foundation is a Non-Profit Group so the cost of our ride was Tax Deductible. This was a Birthday Present for My Father-In-Law. Of course I HAD to go along. We flew out of the Burbank Airport.
