Sundown Dunes3211 viewsThe setting Sun was casting an orange hue on the Sand Dunes at Dumont. Dumont is located 30 miles North of Baker CA near the Southern tip of Death Valley. It was a windy day and the winds in the upper atmosphere were affecting the clouds. I m not sure I would classify this cloud as Lenticular but it was getting close. Taken 3/25/06.

Mount Wilson Sunrise2415 viewsTaken in the early morning hours of 9/18/05 while working on the Angeles Crest 100 Mile Endurance Run. We were at the Sam Merrill Trail at about 4500 ft elevation. The Antennas along Mount Wilson are silhouetted against the bright pink sky.

This was a Birthday Present for My Father-In-Law. Of course I HAD to go along. We flew out of the Burbank Airport.
